As I look at the arc of my photography career, and I comb through hundreds of thousands of photos with the goal to put forward a portfolio of my photography I feel a depth of gratitude that through my lens I am able to celebrate the creativity of humanity. I am so grateful to bear witness to the many creative moments in my clients’ lives, ranging from their engagement as they create a new bond in relationship, to their wedding celebrating their new relationship with their community, to their pregnancy as they create life(!), to their beautiful newborns to their growing families, to their coming of age celebrations, to their businesses which support their community with their creativity. I am in absolute awe of all of the many powerful things that human energy can create, mindfully tend and nourish to such beautiful potential. And I am so grateful that through my photography I am able to bear witness to so much creativity, beauty and love.

Through Autumn’s Lens says it all! As someone loath to be photographed, my business required that I have a headshot and photographs with dogs. I wasn’t sure what would be harder to capture, the moving animals, or my reluctant, awkward self. What a treasure to find Autumn who was grounded, had a sound vision for how to capture the essence of my work and my authentic self, and who put me at ease in a way that is hard to describe, but I imagine is essential for amazing photography. Autumn immediately was able to capture me though a unique lens that allowed me to be myself. We had a good laugh as I approached the unveiling of the photos with trepidation, only to find that her lens captured the magic of my work with dogs, the genuineness of my heart, and the beautiful City of Petaluma! Autumn is an amazing photographer and wonderful human. She perfectly captured our family’s spirit and worked hard to create beautiful images that exceeded our high expectations. We had Autumn do our family photos and were beyond happy with the final images. With three kids, including a newborn and very strong willed toddler, we were greatly impressed with her ability to work with our kids to ensure that everyone was at their best.
