Collaboration Collective
As a self-employed creative I’m always eager to collaborate with other entrepreneurs. Check out the beautiful things these entrepreneurs are doing with their businesses for their community. Working with each of them to create the photography needed for their marketing has fed my creative energy on so many levels. I also appreciate the opportunities for exchange, since as their clients I can better capture their story through my lens for their future clients. Collaborative relationships like this are so powerful - let me know if this is something you would like to explore by contacting me here!
KATE JETT
Working with Kate to create marketing photography for Blue House was a joyous collaboration - which included wonderful friend time both for us and for our boys. After planning the primary images and message for our session we coordinated a stay in Blue House together. Over the course of our stay I was able to capture all the images we had planned and even some bonus moments.
Staying at Blue House with our kids helped me experience the dreamfest that is this refuge from our busy lives….and my creative eye would eagerly have me reaching for my camera to document the experiences of Blue House from quiet porch coffees while everyone is still asleep to a glass of wine in the tub (one of the highlights of my photography career ;-) - I mean I really had to make sure I got that shot just right and worked on it for almost an hour!
JESS RIOS
Jess and I just ‘click’ - collaboration with her is so easy - our creativity aligns so smoothly! Our first photography session together at Helen Putnam was an instant connection. Beforehand we had discussed the essential elements of Jess that were important to convey through photography. As we worked we had several wardrobe changes, matched the mood of the imagery to changing light and we also worked with props to tell the story of Jess’ work as a writer and coach.
And the gratitude I feel as one of Jess’ coaching clients is boundless. I eagerly look forward to my calls with her, now expecting that they will unlock some new potential in my life which was previously bound by fear.
SONIA PAI
I’ve enjoyed knowing Sonia for years within our beautiful elementary school community - we both are passionate parent supporters of our school library. I also had the pleasure of taking Senior Portrait Photos of her son - receiving his graduation announcement in the mail with my favorite image from our session warmed my heart - I’m so excited to see where this new phase of his life takes him!
Sonia’s headshots were easy to capture as I had known her for many years - I was honored when she asked me to assist her with headshots for her marketing needs. And then of course I asked her to redesign a square logo to use within HoneyBook - the client relationship platform that helps me with scheduling, marketing and invoicing. The logo she created feels like a lovely fit for my personality and my business - she designed several for me to choose from and the first one she showed me was an instant YES!
LORRAINE WILSON
Lorraine speaks “Dog” - it’s amazing to see her communicate so seamlessly with my pup Roxie. After working with Lorraine for an hour Roxie was so wonderfully relaxed and happy. If you or anyone you know struggles to connect with their fur babies please run to Lorraine soon with your tail wagging - the tools she gave Roxie and I have helped us avoid stress and confusion beautifully.
Our first session of marketing photography yielded some wonderfully playful images - Roxie served as our model and as we worked new image ideas unfolded on the spot. I can’t wait for our next session this spring with Lorraine’s pup Betty.

Client Cheer Circle
When I think of my clients I feel so much gratitude - some clients I’ve known for many years and watched their lives bloom through engagements, weddings and new family members. Others I’m just getting to know and appreciate. In 2020 we all felt the shift Covid brought - (you know - you lived through it too). After that year I dramatically slowed my marketing partially due to Covid and partially because I was supporting my parents through my mother’s third and final battle with breast cancer. Some of you might not know that our family lost her to breast cancer in 2022. The grief of loosing her hit me and my creative process hard (she was the person who handed me her Brownie camera when I was an eager bright-eyed kid). But with the help of personal work and strong community, I am working through my grief. The final six months of 2024 have shown me that I’m ready to pour my energy and love back into my photography. I am still learning about grief - if you would like to meet for a walk or coffee to talk about it, please reach out.
In my reflections on how my photography business is so strongly connected with my personal life I’ve had the realization that I hold energetic space for my clients. As I edit the images I create I search for the images which tell each person’s story, images that capture what it might feel like to know a person after 10 minutes chatting in line at the cafe or after 10 years raising kids in the community together.
My Client Cheer Circle consists of everyone from clients who’s weddings I photographed years ago and have relocated across the country to clients I have the honor of photographing regularly. I am so grateful for every one - grateful for the cafe line hugs, the Instagram/Facebook comments, the heartfelt emails, all the myriad of gorgeous ways you’ve supported me and my work through these challenging times - here’s to many more opportunities to work together in the future! THANK YOU for your patience and support!
And on a practical level - to make sure you are able to book a photo session with me at a time which works for your busy calendar - head over to my Contact page to be sure I have your email. My Client Cheer Circle receives an email as soon as my online scheduler dates open around the 15th for the following month. If you need to save a date beyond the next month let me know through my Contact page as well!
